SLVM striping for Oracle RAC

Hi. I am going to have on my systems an Oracle RAC database in a SLVM raw device / Serviceguard environment.
Already done last year with SgeRAC 11.17 / Hp-UX 11iV2 ( PA_RISC ).
My question is if I get it correctly, that in HP-UX 11iV2 ( PA_RISC ) I cannot stripe logical volumes ( lvcreate -i ) and I can only distribute them ( -d ).
Is it okay to avoid LUSEs, to put together 7GB small LUNs and to use a 1MB PP size ?
I believe my app will be writing 1MB every second ( peak time ) and therefore I guess a form of protection against SAN-device-related bottelnecks can be implemented that way ( please don't say 32k stripes would be better if that isn't possible with SLVM ).
Suggestions are welcome.
