smpsched consuming 100% of CPU
Hi all,
We have a RP2470 running HPUX 11.11. When I do a top on it smpsched is consuming 100% of CPU, increasing the load and not allowing users to log on. Has anybody else seen this problem. Any help would be appreciated

as you seem to have one single smpsched process, and also by looking at the server model, I am under the impression that, your server has one single cpu. In which case, the streams pipe may be bursting for handling what it is supposed to do. Without knowing what this server's role in your environmet is, what it does day in and day out, it is very hard to guess the problem.

Seems a strange process for a single cpu system.
I always look at patching for issues like this.
Get the latest Gold Pack in anddo a search for smpsched in the patch database.
This may improve the situation.
