HP-UX 11.0 LVM VxFS 3.1
We are running OVO with Oracle
8.0.6. We would like to eliminate downtime on this production application when running backups. (We normally
do cold backups which means we shutdown the application and the Oracle database).
Is it possible to create a snapshot of the data using
VxFS or do we need other
products or is there other ways to do this?
10 points to any good answer.
Thank you Gino.

Re: Snapshot of file systems possible?
extends the number of mirror copies and then splits off the freshly
created mirror.

Re: Snapshot of file systems possible?
You can use VERITAS Volume Manager.
Check this document.
