SNMP Community Name Change.
We are running 2 N-Classes in a Service
Guard enviornment level 11.09. We are
not in the CSS HA enviornment and do
not have a separate box monitoring any
changes that are made to the system.
We are in the process of changing our
snmp community name on all our
servers. The following snmp process
are running on both servers:
/usr/sbin/snmpdm
/usr/lbin/cmsnmpd
My question is, if we change the snmp
name, restart the standard snmp daemon,
will we need to do anything for the
service guard environment?
Do we need to make any changes to the
Service Guard Packages before updating
the community name?
Any potential Gotchas?
Please note that we are monitoring only
for hardware and not for software.
Thanks for your help
