SNMP disabling in HP UX
I have a two node SG cluster where it runs with oracle RAC and CFS. For securing the systems, customer ask to disable the SNMP. Does it affect the cluster if I disable the SNMP ? Is it being used for any communication between nodes . Kindly reply.

Re: SNMP disabling in HP UX
Core Serviceguard does not require SNMP and this could be disabled without causing trouble. However, EMS does use SNMP so if you have packages with EMS resources defined you would need SNMP.
