SNMP problem
The customer want to collect the information about memory, CPU, etc on the HPUX server via SNMP agent. His SNMP server is mg-soft.
Now, he can find the information about network of the HPUX server and all the information about windows server.
Is there some configuration on the HPUX about this?
Someone tell me that he should download mib2 from internet. But I don't know how to use it.
Please help me. Thanks.

You do not need to install anything if the following commands generate some ouput (huge amount of data, you can interrupt the command with ctl-c) on your HPUX server
snmpwalk -Os -c public -v 1 server_name 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3

Re: SNMP problem
to Calandrello:
Can you tell me more detail about that?
to Jaime:
It is a good suggestion, but I don't know whether the customer agree with or not.
to yang qin
I can't find the command snmpwalk on the system. Is it a system command in HPUX?

Re: SNMP problem
If you to use the version that this in the site of the HP: www.software.hp.com you anger to make download of an archive .depot for its version of HP-UX, being necessario the compilation are not only enough to execute swinstall -s /tmp/xxx.depot and it anger to install the package of the SNMP. case you uses the version of the site: http://www.net-snmp.org/ you go to have that to the same compile for the installation, using the command make. In the two versions you can configure the SNMP with the command: snmpconf, this command anger to allow you to configure community and version of the SNMP that it desires to use, traps etc.
how much to snmpwalk it not and a native command, it together with comes the installation of the SNMP therefore belongs to the SNMP-tools package. The two versions that I indicated it ja comes with this command.

If your customer does not want to install it on Unix server, you can get one for windows.
