Hi,
How to install a software package which came in CD OR Tape Drive?

hi,

mount the CDROM, and copy it to another location, or directly from CD/DVD,

if its on the tape, use tar or pax to extract the sw to the disk location,

and them simple install.

if its a depot them swinstall, and if its not HP sw follow the installation guide.

yes mike.But is about mounting an iso image.But I want to know how to install (commands) a package which came in a cd?

i think "rariasn" gave you a great link,

if read it you will be able to install your applications.

if its not a depot them you need to follow the installation guide (manual)
