Software Installation

Hi all,
I've downloaded jdk5.0 and want to install in a remote directory(NFS). Can you pl help me how to do this.

I would get on the server exportng the NFS mount and do the install from there.

Doug has the easiest way to do things.
Otherwise you could use swinstall to an alternate root and with "-x write_remote_files=true".

You would have to have the NFS export option to allow root as root.
