How can I find (command)which softwares or applications are already installed in a particular system.

welcome to the forums !

As root:

swlist

for details see "man swlist"

This covers all software installed via depots, not binaries copied from another system for example.

Check the man pages for various options. swlist on its own lists all the software on the system.

You don't have to be root to list the software installed through HP-UX SD. More often, one does
/usr/sbin/swlist -l product|more to view the software, or bundle instead of product...check man page on swlist for verious ways to display the contents of software installed.

You should note that while swlist will list all software installed via the HP swinstall command, this may not be a complete list and a complete list is not possible other than "know your systems". For example, Oracle is not installed using swinstall and swlist won't have a clue that Oracle is on the box --- and that's simply one example. There could be hundreds.
