HP-UX 11i Updated release 03/2002
HP-UX 11i Update Release 12/2001
HP-UXi Operating Environment Release
HP-UX 11.0 OS Only
UPGRADE TO HP-UX 10.20 Release (OS ONLY)
Do I need to order all of these? I will not do a cold install, but will upgrade.
Also there are several Application Software releases listed, are they accumulative, i.e. I only order the newest one?
Solved! Go to Solution.

Re: software update manager
It depends on the OS version and the applications you are going update. If you are going for 11.0, then order 11.0 core OS and in case of 11.i order that.
For any OS version, you may need to order the same release of SupportPlus CD, documentation CD and the application CD set. Once you order this, you can apply for the cordwords online. Select the "order updates for all releases" and it will list you with all choices you have. Select the one which you need and request it. You don't need to order any old CDs, order the latest set always.

Re: software update manager
The main difference is that 11i is bundled maily for internet based applications. It has great support to run internet and web based application than that in 11.0
Thanks,
pap

Re: software update manager
Again, there are lot of threads in this forum about the difference between 11.0 and 11i. You can search it and browse it.
See one of them and Clay's answer:
