Solaris hpux nis nfs automount mc/service guard
Hi all,
I have a unique problem. I have a Solaris nis client connecting to hp nis server for its maps for user, directories, automount maps. Each user directory for solaris users is mounted thru automounter via nfs from a hpux nfs server. This hpux nfs server is connected to a hitachi storage array and is running hp mc/service guard.
When the package failes from hp nfs server1 to hp nfs server2, I get a error on the solaris client that nfs is not responding. This error appears for couple of secs. I am O.K. with this.
The real problem is when it fails back to the original hp nfs server1. I do get a the nfs server not responding error. I got to reboot the solaris client to get this fixed.
Did anyone face such a problem. What are your thoughts.

Re: Solaris hpux nis nfs automount mc/service guard
Hi,
Solaris is bit touchy about hard nfs mounts I always use the soft option.
Could you gibe the options you use ?
Kind regards,
Robert-Jan
