Re: source quench recieved
Thanx for the information. but the problem is at the time of giving source quench error my network goes down for maore than 5 mins. And the same card is working without any problem in 10mbps 1/2 duplex without any problem...
what is the reason pls also let me know whether j3515A lan board will support 100mbps full duplex
thanx in advance

Re: source quench recieved
You should verify that your switch is really set to 100mbs full duplex. Also check whether the length of the segments is over acceptable parameters for 10/100BaseTX, max. is 100m cable and 2 nodes per segment.
You might also want to try the latest btlan4 driver patch PHNE_22461 (+ dependent patches!). It provides some interesting fixes, e.g.
"The actual link configuration does not reflect what is manually configured in /etc/rc.config.d/hpgsc100conf."
"100BT card receive engine hangs resulting in discard of all incoming packets."
Good luck: Carsten

Re: source quench recieved
The message means that IP you are pinging has a buffer full situation, that's being transmitted back to the source.
if the system u are pinging is HP then use ndd to turn off the messages.
ndd set /dev/ip ip_send_source_quench 0
This might affect certain applications which use the network extensively. So understand the consequences before you do this.
