Space required to install ignite
I am planning to install Ignite-UX to make backup tapes.
i need to know how much space do i need in what filesystem, i only have 100MB in /opt file system.
i am using the following link for Ignite UX:
http://www.software.hp.com/products/IUX/download.html
Please also help me with installation. My unix Box is standalone Box, I need Ignite to just create make_recovery tape for that box only.
thanks

Re: Space required to install ignite
That, with the other normal parameters will let you know if there is enough space. Based on prior experience, I think you have enough.

Re: Space required to install ignite
You can also highlight the pkg in the GUI & do Actions -> Information & it will tell you the size.

Re: Space required to install ignite
When say GUI, are you referring to SAM or something else?
Thanks

Re: Space required to install ignite
No - export your display & run
swinstall &
and that will bring up the GUI version of swinstall.
You can also bring up the non-GUI version with
swinstall -i
