spmgr update
Hello experts,
what does the below message mean:-
spmgr update
the persistent parameter file has been updated (please rebuild the kernel using /usr/sbin/mk_kernel -o /stand/vmunix) for all secure path changes to be persistent accross reboots,the new kernel will be moved into place at the next reboot.
do i have really to update the kernel.
any help is higly appreciated

Re: spmgr update
If changes have been made to the Secure Path configuration on the server, then you will have to regen the kernel and reboot for those to be persistent across reboots.
