squid upgrade on 10.20
I am running squid version 1.1.19 on a 10.20 box and would like to upgrade to
the latest version 2.2. What is the best way to upgrade 3rd party software
such as this? Should I just install in the current squid working directory or
install to another dir. and somehow remove the old version?
Thanks in advance,
Erik

Re: squid upgrade on 10.20
I assume you're familiar with the installation procedure. If I were you, I'd
specify a different --prefix=/some/path and install the new squid there. After
you transferred/adjusted the config, you can try that new Squid. If it doesn't
work you can simply switch back by running the old one.
