SRP maximum that can be implemented?

Hello there!

I do have a question on SRP for which I find no proper reference for the answer.
In a BL860c i2 (Integrity blade) how many SRPs (containers) can I implement at a maximum practically???

Any reference to the answers would be much helpful and appreciated!

Thanks

Re: SRP maximum that can be implemented?

The limit to the number of SRPâ s that can be configured on a system depends on if you use PRM or not. If you are using PRM then the limit is 255 (the max number of PRM FSS groups). Without PRM you â couldâ create several thousand SRPâ s â but I wouldnâ t say that is practical. The maximum that you can create will depend on the applications you deploy in the SRP itself. SRP will have a minimum overhead - so if you could safely deploy X number of application ABC then you should be able to deploy close to that number of SRP's that run application ABC.

Hiya Doug Lamoureux!

I really appreciate your answer for my query on SRP. I would like to know more about that so could you be able to provide any links to refer these information in detail. I tried and couldnt find any proper reference.

It would be much better for our analysis and test it.

Thanks!

Re: SRP maximum that can be implemented?

Take a look at the SRP documentation at:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodClassId=10008&contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=64255&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=4164838

Not much in the way of capacity planning though.

What kind of applications are you looking at deploying - do you have data/metrics for existing deployments of these applications, maybe capacity advisor can help (though capAd does not know about SRP so you would use a physical system and add some amount of overhead for SRP)?
