ss7MgrStart: Error launching: HP_AIN_CONFIG_FILE environment variable is not set

Hello,

im trying to launch ss7MgrStart (using Exceed). I set the TERM DISPLAY back to my PC's IP address. However, when i launch ss7MgrStart i get the above error message.

Also, im logged in as root, and strangely enough, ss7MgrStart is not in the path. I had to do a find "ss7MgrStart" to locate the binary and run it from its location. However, when i just telnet into the same server as "ROOT", its already in the path.

What do you think?

Also, how do i find out which is the correct global.conf file to use? THere are 100's

Where do i set the HP_AIN_CONFIG_FILE variable? in which file?
