ST373207LW disk installation
Hi,
I bougt a new ST373207LW SCSI disk to my ML 330 G3 server and srever can not identify it.
So i tried to change cable slots ant i tried all cable slots even on working disk. It does not appear in scsi check screen.
What can i do even more. should i try to configure jumper settings?

Re: ST373207LW disk installation
Shalom,
Possibilities:
1) Disk is simply dead. Listen to it or feel it for vibration and see if its spinning up.
2) It is quite possible the disk is conflicting with other disks in the system or the SCSI card, Check that the SCSI ID is not zero the default for controllers.

Re: ST373207LW disk installation
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I checked my disk and you are right. it is not vibrating!
I will see the manufacturer :)
Thanks again.
