What is the difference between stape and tape2 driver ?
I have DDS tapes and backups libraries in a host (see attachment)
st_san_safe parameter apply to stape only ?
Or apply both stape and tape2 driver ?

Re: stape and tape2 driver
Exactly right. Tape2 is seldom used any more as not that many boxes which support HP-PB are left. There are also a few differences in the drivers and these are explained near the end of the man 7 mt man pages as both the stape driver and tape2 driver utilize the mt driver.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
