Re: Staroffice or Openoffice

I didn't find any office type tools here:

http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/

But I suggest getting linux for PA9000 from: http://www.parisc-linux.org and installing the linux distros.

Re: Staroffice or Openoffice

OpenOffice for HP-UX does not exist:
See the last line @

I'm not even bothering to search sun.com, but can assume no, in any case, you'll have to pay for any upgrades to office.

Re: Staroffice or Openoffice

I think your issue is the same these years later.

You will need to compile it. As Merijn's error message shows you also might need to make minor source code alterations to get it to work with HP-UX.

Re: Staroffice or Openoffice

Uhhh, no. In this case it's not *minor*
I've taken some time to browse the developers pages and there seem to be some HP-UX issues that are not to be summarized under the "minor issues" header

The project of porting OpenOffice is in the works, and currently - if I read that well - is in the hands of a single guy (/if/ he is still doing it). They however realize that the quest for this product is rising and if there are voluteers to help here, they will probably be welcomed with open arms. Contact dev@porting.openoffice.org

Look at the ToDo's section :( :(
