Start up from scratch

I have an older Packard Bell Legend 14CDT that someone formatted the hard drive. Can any one let me know how to get ahold of a start up disk so I can download Win95 on it. I am average with respect to my knowledge of computers. The CDROM runs directly to the sound card. PLEASE PLEASE HELP

This a discussion forum for the HP-UX Unix Operating System.
I would suggest you contact Packard Bell, ifyou can as they are not the same company as Hewlett Packard.

This is the HP-UX UNIX forum. Try posting to the Microsoft board. Good luck!

Re: Start up from scratch

Go to any computer with win 95, click "start" then "settings" and "control panel" and "add/remove programs". In there is a tab that says startup disk. That will create what you need, personally I use a win98 startup disk because that has cdrom support, otherwise you will have to find cdrom drivers to finish the install with a 95 disk. Both are made the same way but on different OS's.

While I agree this probably not the best place to get your answer try this great boot disk site.
