Starting CDE manualy

Starting CDE manualy

I have an HP N-class server running HPUX 11.00, and I have Ciscoworks 2000 on it. When I reboot the server yesterday it is staying at the " start resource manager essentiols daemons"because of this the system is not getting to the CDE. I wonder is ther a way I can start CDE manualy.

Re: Starting CDE manualy

I think /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start should do it.

Sure
Edit a file
/etc/rc.config.d/desktop and make sure you have
DESKTOP=CDE

Then
#cd /sbin/rc3.d
#./S990dtlogin.rc start
This will start the cde.
