STM and scsi resets on fibre channel
We are getting scsi reset errors in DP.
The fibre Library ESL9000 is losing it's connections, and jobs are killed due to scsi resets, we have tried to find the culprit but in a large environment as ours it's difficult.
Somebody pointed us to STM as a possible culprit but we have stopped all it's monitoring on the tape device except the fibre channel interfaces.
Should we disable it also on these interfaces?
what are the consequences if we do disable it?

Re: STM and scsi resets on fibre channel
STM is monitoring your hardware including the SCSI devices. It is usually nonintrusive, probably probes the devices once in a while. You can disable or stop STM altogether. It does not affect the operation of your fiber interfaces or any devices.
