stm fails on system information!

Hi

After updating stm from A.22.00 to A.30.00

the system information fails, with status incomplete.
Activity log:

Detect EEPROMS for all Field Replaceable Units in the system.

Tue Feb 19 14:22:16 2002: Tool completed with exit_status MOD_INCOMPLETE (5)
indicating the tool was started but could not properly complete execution.


Are there any know errors on this... Have the same error on 2 servers (L2000 running HP-UX 11.0 Dec 2000 GR+HWCR patches)

2 things to check : is memlogd running on the affected system ?
&/or is the memlogd log file
(/var/stm/logs/os/memlogd) corrupt and hence the daemon can't start and hence your error ?

In case it's corrupt you could run /sbin/init.d/diagnostic 'stop' move aside the memlogd log file and then run
/sbin/init.d/diagnostic 'start'

Hi,

Did the software install correctly? You can check this with "swlist -l fileset -a state" and then check for filesets which were installed, but not configured.

You should install the Dec 2001 patch bundle, which might take care of the issue.

Hi

Alex: diagnostic restarted with memlog removed, without effect.

Vincent: All software installed correct.

Harry:
This does infact work on other servers with March 2001 and June 2001 bundles installed.

Unfortunately this server is a clone of a production server and the project running it might not be to happy with changes made on it without the same thing beeng done on the production box.

Do you know which patch that does the trick?
