stm

Hi people, well i tried using stm but i cannot go around it. My TERM is set to ansi.
The tab is not working either. The small g works bringing me back and forth, but thats it. Thanks.

Shalom,

Try setting term to vt100

Maybe you need a gui.

Try xstm in X Windows.

Hi Khilari,

Two things to do,
1) stm, # export TERM=vt100
2) Install XManager,
#export DISPLAY=:0.0
# xstm

When all else fails try cstm, maybe not so user friendly but it always seems to give me the info I need

You can choose other two ways as,

1) cstm - it is very good and easy
2) xstm

export DISPLAY variable with your client ip-address and start x-windows client session like xmanager in that.

Invoke as xstm which will give a new window.


If you want to use stm change the TERM setting to vt100.

Hello khilari,

I work mostly with cstm and it works fine. Until today I have no problems at a high count of systems I used it. At first i tried to use stm, but sometimes the whole shell was blocked and this is not so good if you are connected via modem to an costumersystem, you know.
