Storage Enclosure disks A3311A

Hi,
I thought I'd already posted this message but I can't find it when I do a search, apologies if it is duplicated.
I've recently got hold of a couple of A3311A HAS storage bays for my 9000/780 box, that are both full of the 4G SCSI (DF) disk caddies and I wanted to see if I could upgrade the disks to something bigger. I've dismantled a caddy and swapped the disk out for a 9G SCSI SCA unit but when I reboot the server a number of the external disks aren't recognised.
I have two questions, firstly, is this possible and if so what have I missed? Secondly, if this is possible, what is the biggest disks I can use in the A3311A enclosures? I know this is not supported but it's for my play system at home.
The server is running HP-UX 11i and I did make sure that the unit I swapped was not included in an existing volume group.
Many thanks in advance.

Mike,

maybe your question has been moved to storage - disk arrays.

Check this link (in that forum)
