storage tapes
hie guys . we just got a new L class with Hp 11.0 64 bit, the problem is when i try to use tar to restore files i backup on our Hp 10.20 K class using a DDS 3 tape drive , it gives me an tape error (5).
I use this command to tar the files
tar -cvf /dev/rmt/0m .
i tried cpio , but it gives me the same problem.
I did a tar on the L class machine and i restored with no problem on the K class using the same a DDS3 tape.
what could be the problem.
thanks ia advance.
