Hi,

Check in /etc/inittab if it has getty
entries that should not be there.

Re: strange error

Hi

I had a similar message last week which turned out to be a disk/loss of data issue -

Have at look through the replies to see if any of them will resolve your issue

Re: strange error

Hi,

Check out for the entry /sbin/sfd in /etc/inittab file.

There could be some corruption with this file or some problem with the commands in this script.

Any changes were made ???

Re: strange error

If you are running 11.11 you may want to check for PHCO_23920. It is a sfd patch that may help especially if this is a newly loaded OS.

Hi,

If this is a 11i system you may want to look at the patch PHCO_23920
