Strange 'language' in CDE Mailer Index

Using HP_UX 11.11 - recently patched to GOLDBASE 12/06 & DST

When I click the mail icon, the graphical version displays strange characters (Greek?) in the index section, but the Mail itself is in English (as it should be)

Note: elm (2.4) displays the index normally (for same mail)

Also note: this doesn't happen as root - both normal. (Only my personal login)
