Stub hosts
Can I configure the address of a package on HP-UX cluster as a stub host under OSPF?

Re: Stub hosts
Hi Lora,
What do you mean by stub host ? and what's the OSPF ?
Normally, a package ip address and name are DIFFERENT from other ones attributed to physical servers. This allows the MC / Service Guard to start that package on another node in the cluster in case of failure and allows client applications to continue accessing the package resources ( Dbs , programs, shares, ...) whatever the node which is running the package. In other word, a package is a virtual machine with it's own IP and name.
IF you execute the command :
# netstat -rn
it will shows you that the package ip address is MAPPED on the host IP address on which the package is running.
Hope this helps.

Re: Stub hosts
Hi again,
Stub sounds DCE-RPC programming ?
are you developing or administring or both ?
