Morning all,
Another random problem for discussion....
We are using NIS (not NIS+ or anything fancy like that), and we have added a new user to the passowrd file. From a client we can ypcat the pasword file and see the user, but if we try to su - to the user we get the follwoing message: -
su: Unknown id:
Anyone got any ideas?

Problem solved now. I needed to make the entry in the netgroup file too.
You never had this problem with a pencil and paper!
