Re: SUBNET 10.x.x.x not part of the cluster, line 270

Well, im running out of good ideas here..

There is one more thing, that i would do - if i where you.

On your current NIC cards. I would remove all IP Aliases, to make sure that the MC/SG software is happy.

MC/SG Do not like IP Aliases on your interfaces. So remove all extra IPs from lan0:1 and lan0:2.

Can you confirm that:
lan0 = Admin/Management lan
lan1 = ClusterLan (Virtuel ClusterIP)
lan2 = Heartbeat

When that is done, please send the files:

/etc/cmcluster/cmclnodelist

and

/.rhosts

Depending of your system setup, the ".rhosts" file may not be there. But please send them both to me as well...

Re: SUBNET 10.x.x.x not part of the cluster, line 270

Hi johnny,
Can you confirm that:
lan0 = Admin/Management lan
lan1 = ClusterLan (Virtuel ClusterIP)
lan2 = Heartbeat

When that is done, please send the files:

/etc/cmcluster/cmclnodelist

I am absolutely sure that lan0 is for physical ip,lan1 for failover,lan2 for heartbeat........

i done have cmclnodelidt configured..but i have .rhosts...# more .rhosts
cedge1 root
cedge2 root

Re: SUBNET 10.x.x.x not part of the cluster, line 270

ServiceGuard checks for /etc/cmcluster/cmclnodelist before checking for a .rhosts file. If cmclnodelist is found first, .rhosts is ignored.

Maybe we should use the cmclnodelist file, which is the one that i use.

Create the cmclnodelist file. You only need to have one char. in the file.

"+"

+ is the only thing you need to have in the file.

After we have made all these changes, what is the error msg??

What is the cluster-package-log saying??
