sudo: unable to initialize PAM: Error 0

Hi all,

I edited pam.conf file & removed "debug" statement at the end of line in pam.conf file.

I tried login via "ssh" from putty it gives me "network error".
I tried to login via telnet to console,
It ask me to go in "single usermode" to change settings,I am not authourised to do that.

I try to copy original file back to its location via SUDO it gives me above error
sudo: unable to initialize PAM: Error 0

Pl let me know how can i regain back my login.

Thanks
Rajendra

Hi Rajendra

it recommended to remain login when you change any settings in pam. and check with other termianl.

anyway, can you login through X-windows like hummingburd, extrax or reflection in GUI mode.
