automatic swapon using vxvm swapvolume
Hi
I have two machines, gnu and riker. both have a /dev/vx/dsk/rootdg/swapvol, but where gnu manages to get that swapvolume activated during a boot, riker does not.
Neither have the volume listed in /etc/fstab. Both have identical setup when looking in SAM (use now, can not set always, and can not set to primary).
Why does it work for gnu? and not for riker? and how do I fix it? (My ignite failed on riker due to this problem and I would like to avoid that ;-))
Any help appriciated!
Thomas

Re: automatic swapon using vxvm swapvolume
Hi,
to have more details about the reasons of the problem could you attach /etc/rc.log of gnu and riker?
That should contain more info about why swap cannot be activated on boot for riker, file from gnu just is to compare.
Best regards,
Fabio
