SUDO
hi
i have been requested to install a new version of Sudo, at present we have 1.6.8. I have been researching and the new version is 1.6.9.
Is there a version that has been ported for HPUX, as the version i have downloaded needs lots of configuration.
any help would be much appreciated

Re: SUDO
I use on most of our HP B.11.11 hosts the current HP port which is 1.6.8p12:

I have no problems with this, and it works fine.
What do you mean by "needs lots of configuration"?
Naturally, sudo requires you editing the sudoers file by visudo and defining rules therein.
Is it this sort of configuration you are referring to?
I don't think you can cut much down of it,
even with a newer release.
Quite to the contrary, if it supplies new features the configurable set of tokens even should rise.
If you are not content with the HP port
I would say you will have to compile sudo from a more recent check out of the sources.

Re: SUDO
John,
The usually only file needs configuration is sudoers file.
I am not sure what do you mean by lots of configuration.
Find more info here.
