suid bit
We have SAP software running on HP UX 11.11.
What I would like to know is what SAP NFS would require suid bit...
We think that only /sapmnt/SID needs suid bit set against all the other NFS..
Any Responses would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: suid bit
My SAP instances, running on standalone and serviceguard configurations, do not have any setuid bits set for any of the NFS mounted directory levels. As a matter of fact nothing under /sapdata has the suid bit set.
I am not a basis expert and take my advice with a grain of salt, but no SAP implementation should need anything running with suid bit set, especially not from NFS.
