Support Tools Manager (stm -x)

An X question. I'm having a problem running the X-windows version of Support Tools Manager.

Here are the error messages:
# stm -x
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 63(X_CopyPlane)
Value in failed request: 0x0
Serial Number of failed request: 1765
Current serial number in output stream: 1765

All my other X clients work fine (Glance; SAM; xterm and various other X clients)

Re: Support Tools Manager (stm -x)

Did you install the latest patches for STM? Which OS version are you running?

Check the stm logs for more information.

Re: Support Tools Manager (stm -x)

Hi,

The x version of STM is "xstm".

# export DISPLAY=your_wkstn_ip:0.0
# xstm

Hope this helps.

Re: Support Tools Manager (stm -x)

Sanjay,
Either way, the same problem.

/usr/bin/stm -x

/usr/sbin/xstm

Re: Support Tools Manager (stm -x)

Hi Allen,

I'd suspect that you've suffered some corruption somewhere in the Support Tools Bundle (OnlineDiag) - either a binary or a library somewhere.
I'd recommend you reinstall or alternatively update it if you're a rev or 2 back.

Rgds,
Jeff
