sw password
i realize that this may seem like a silly question, but it's answer is eluding me, so:
what is the password that comes with all the extra software hp sends when you buy a server from them? or is that something that you have to buy on top of the 6 digit price tags? =)
thanks in advance...
jerome
ps
the cds i'm trying to use are the application software cds...

Re: sw password
Everything you can *see* on the CDs when you launch swinstall you can install FOC... If you were to pay those big $$$s and get a password, you would see more software...
Compare what you can see from in a swinstall session to what you see if you run:
swlist -d -s /cdrom
Which shows everything on the CD including protected software.

Re: sw password
Hi Jerome,
Whatever money which you have spent for the softwares, only those softwares will be visible while using the swinstall command and you can install all of them.
But the CD contains still more software, which can be seen mounting the CD maybe on a directory like /cdrom and then executing the following command.
swlist -s /cdrom

Sukant
