sw product name missing in SAM's depot/installed list upon its installation

Hello all,

I have a install.sh script that do
the following:

swreg -l depot /tmp/prod1.depot
swinstall -s /tmp/prod1.depot @ /var/prod1

and prod1.depot is created with swpackage using
a psf file of prodname prod1.

prod1 is successfully installed at the directory /var/prod1

However,

1. prod1 cannot be located in SAM

2.
command line
'swlist | grep prod1' shows nothing.

3.
command line
'swlist @ /var/prod1 shows prod1

How do I get prod1 into SAM lists of installed software and depot.

with the @ /var/prod1 on the swinstall, you used a different "root", so you can either change your "source target" or install into the default root target.
