Re: swagent.log

HI Matteo,

Could you give us some background on what you are installing ? PHCO_15206 is a

"s700_800 10.20 Software Distributor cumulative patch" and has been superseded by PHCO_20209.

Re: swagent.log

Matteo,

I have no idea why it took so long to install this patchj (SD cumulative patch for HP-UX10.20). I vaguely remember stopping measureware before installing patches.

Are you sure that you want no backups, such that you cannot de-install the patch?

Re: swagent.log

Matteo,

1. from a few yeasr ago I can remember that one sometimes had to stop measureware agent processes (midaemon, ...) before installing patches to prevent the problem you have from happening.

2. You have a PATCH_NOSAVE file, which means that old files are not backed-up (backupped?), so you cannot uninstall your patch. I just wondered if you were aware of this.

3. When I posted my first reply there were no other replies yet, so I was not aware of the contents of the other repliers.

Greetings,

JP.

Re: swagent.log

I would install the newer patch.

The one you have is way out date. How did you get it?

Also to help with this:

cleanup -c 1

or 2 on the end. It gets rid of patches superseded the number of times after the -c in the command line. Saves space, prevents your system from being rolled back to old unstable patches.

Just a little of post problem advice.

Good Luck,
