swagentd trips up when running update-ux, "RPC exception" error

When running "update-ux -s /cdrom HPUX11i-OE"
on my N4000 it fails with

"RPC exception: "Connection closed (dce/rpc)"

swagent.log shows the last entry as

"Installing fileset "OBAM.OBAM-JVM,r=B.11.00.05.3.06" (664 of 880)"

As a test when I invoke swinstall by it self it also fails with the RPC exception error. When I restart swagentd I am able to bring up swinstall without any errors.

So, with that I launch update-ux again, but it fails at the same spot with the same error.

I've reduced /etc/hosts file to the loop back entry only "127.0.0.1 localhost loopback"

I am able to ping myservername, nslookup works, nsswitch.conf setup for files->dns.

Thought it might be related to measureware agent so I ran

"mwa stop"

first and used this option with update-ux

-x rpc_binding_info=ncadg_ip_udp:[2121]
ncacn_ip_tcp:[2121]

but it had no effect.

other background: this system has Iplanet websever, Iplanet ldap (currently disabled), coldfusion. They all have their version of jre installed, don't know if it's related but It could be so I'll throw it in.

I've been working this for some time now and could really use some help, thanks in advance.
for your suggestion.

Masaki

(unfortunately this is a production sytem so I'll have to restore it and won't be able to test suggestions until next weekend.)

I have already viewed that post. Unfortunately the reference links there don't work.

Masaki,
Here is another thread that may have some clues:
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=696777

Here is also a patch description that may help fix the problem:
http://www.software.hp.com/non-production/MAINTPACK/TEXT_FILES/PHSS_28827.text

Hope that helps a bit. Sorry, but I have personally not come across that myself.
