Re: swap full?
Hi,
Increasing your memory would be an important consideration, especially if you have a high deactivation rate.
Hope this helps. Regards.

Re: swap full?
Hi,
Of course, most importantly you need to find out the cause.
If your application is erratic and there is a memory leak in your application, none of the options above is going to help you fix the problem. It will just be a matter of time before your memory and swap resources get exhausted.
Thus, you need to find out the root cause of the problem first before engaging in the utilisation of more resources.
Hope this helps. Regards.

Re: swap full?
Hi,
A short term fix is to add additional
swap, but this is only a band-aid
solution. You should be looking at
what is causing your problem and
getting it rectified. If it is an
application with a memory leak *make*
the vendor fix the problem. It is
their responsibility to do so
especially if you are paying extortional
amounts of money in maintenance. The
steps you have listed yourself will help
but not for long.
