swinstall error message

hi,
system D220
op sys: ux11.00

DBA using swinstall to load db2 database, during the install execution phase message appears:
"/cdrom/cd2/DB@V7WCC/wcc/opt/IBMdb2/V7.1/cc/en_US/db2_390/removeuserprivilegespromptdialogip.htm" to copy it. File name too long (248)

Does anyone have any hints as to how I could get around this? Is there an option on the mount command that would help?
Thanks Maria.

Re: swinstall error message

Hi Maria,

Looks like you are using a HFS filesystem. You need to convert it to long file names. To do this utilise the 'convertfs' program. There is also a man page for this as well.

Re: swinstall error message

Must be all this sand in the desert.... I couldn't see the first part of the path.... I only looked at the log name....

Re: swinstall error message

Thanks for your comments..yes it is IBM stuff, yes it did refer to pfs stuff - but I have got those patches loaded where I believed it was not necessary to continue to specify the pfs cmds. Anyway, got it going with pfs mount etc, and put the rest down to IBM!
Thanks Maria.
