Swinstall Error on rp8400

Hi,

when i try to install the .depot from /cdrom it is giving the following error

"pampa:/cdrom/ise_0002.030" you dont have the required permission to perform this operation, check permission using "swacl".

i am logged in a root and using the direct console.

kindly reply.. it is very urgent..

Hi,

First try to restart the swagentd.

# swagentd -k
# ps -ef | grep swagentd
# swagentd -r

This problem is almost always fixed by restarting the swagentd daemon as shown above. More than likely you don't need to do the -k because its not running right now.
