Switching From EST time to GMT time
In a few weeks we will be switching from EST time to GMT time. I will like to
know what effect it will have on system. OS 10.20 and 11.x
Known effect cron jobs, backups, modify /etc/TIMEZONE
What am I missing.
Thanks,
Junior

Re: Switching From EST time to GMT time
As long as you use the set_parms command to make the change, it shouldn't cause
any problems you aren't aware of. Just remember to change the scheduled
execution time of cron jobs and anything else that keys off the time. The
system itself doesn't worry about the timezone anyway for its internal
processes.
