swlist in 11.23 Could not initialize security

hi,

i have a 11.23 system and the user can not make a /usr/sbin/swlist. (default in 11.11 the user can this)

The error output is:

ERROR: Could not initialize security. This process does not have super-user privilege.

Where can i configure this?

Have you got the latest SD patch on 11.23 PHCO_35587 ? It supercedes PHCO_28848 which fixes some swlist authentication errors.

See swacl(1M). Having non-root users able to do swinstall is not the default on 11.11.
Use swacl to see its value on your 11.11 system.

in 11.11 is the setuid bit on the swlist cmd on 11.23 not.

On all OS versions I see the setuid bit.

You might want to use "swverify \*" to make sure you don't have a bunch of files with wrong permissions.
