swlist is not showing the fixpack level for the product on HP-UX

We have installed IBM Websphere Partner Gateway 6.1.0.0 on HP-UX 11.23 Itanium.

But swlist is showing only 6.1.0 as the version instead of 6.1.0.0

Also the vpd.properties file is not getting updated.

Because of this we are getting the problem while applying the Fixpack1 for the product.

The installer is throwing the error like "Object to update is not found in the VPD...."

So we have set the SD Integration Enabled =false(ISMP Property) on the Installer and the installation of Fixpack went fine.

Again, now the version is showing like 6.1.0 instead of 6.1.0.1.

Could anyone provide some help on this.

Thanks in advance

In the first instance, that sounds like a question for the providers of the software package; IBM, I assume.

If they are not describing the software correctly in the package, then swlist can't display it.

I believe that SD would treat the revision 6.1.0 as being equivalent to 6.1.0.0 or even 6.1.0.0.0.0.0.0. While that does not mean a vendor might not create all three, it does leave the question how would SD behave.

If the Websphere installation instructions do not have any clues, a verbose fileset listing of the source depots or any errors from the swagent.log could get us started.

Hmm. I thought SD treated these as 3 separate ascii strings?? (Where "." isn't special.)
