swlist issue
My application team requires to perform the command swlist on hp-ux 11i serverA and encountered the following error.
WARNING: Security access denied to file "//var/adm/sw/products/INDEX".
ERROR: "serverA:/": You do not have the required permissions to
perform this operation. Check permissions using the "swacl"
command or see your system administrator for assistance. Or,
to manage applications designed and packaged for nonprivileged
mode, see the "run_as_superuser" option in the "sd" man page.
Query: How do I encounter them swlist access?
Thanks/cliff

# swacl -l host

The part you may need to look at is the permissions and users. See the swacl man page on how.

Re: swlist issue
I have seen this error before and from what I remember it didn't have too much to do with ACL's.
I would try restarting the swagentd process
# /usr/sbin/swagentd -r
Cheers

Re: swlist issue
# swacl -l depot @
and you can use the following command to see any problems:
# swverify -d @
