SyBase Application. How to configure to the optimal performance on a rp3440. HPUX 11.11

Hi All,
Need advise on how to configure the HPUX to suit the operation of the Sybase, Adaptive Server Enterprise/12.5.3

As according to the HP Internal customer's monthly report, there are almost 100% of our memory being utilized by the system which represented 2GB of our total memory.

However, if based on the memory configurations, there is only 1GB of memory being allocated to our Sybase (database) server where the rest of 1GB memory should be free and available in the system. In other words, we should be seeing maybe 60% or 70% of memory usage in the monthly report, not 98% to 100% usage.

Could anyone kindly advise on this?

Thanks!

Try changing dbc_max_pct to 10 (from 50 which default) in kernel parameters.
