Anyone have any ideas as to what's causing the error message?

do an

find /dev -name ttyd0p0 -exec ls -l {} \;

if it doesn't show up then try

insf -e

then the find above again.

If it does show up, then check the permissions.

The file exists.

What I found out, by accident, is that the file is for a modem which was once connected to the system.

No, just screwing around. It's overcast today, so swimming looks bleak. Of course the season is over and fall will kick in here in Rochester NY soon! If only we could have localized instead of global warming :-))

I joined our companies little chess league - 12 players divided into three divisions (4 players per division). I won my division, and I think we start the playoofs next week. My game has been weak, but it's getting somewhat better. I'm using yahoo games to practice, especially on how to get out of making stupid mistakes. Which I just did a few minutes ago, losing both rooks and a knight, yet I managed to checkmate him with a pawn! I came close to resigning or even offering a draw earlier!

I think our little league will grow to about 16 the next round, especially with fall and winter coming soon to our neighborhood! The one guy that is most likely going to win the league is one of the top players in NY for players rated below 1800, which he won the state a few weeks ago! hopefulyl I can give him a run for his money...yeah and I have a chance to visit the space station....
